From the Other Side of the Table

I spent over a decade hiring for competitive roles in tech and professional services. During that time I saw something that kept bothering me: genuinely capable people losing jobs they were qualified for, not because of a gap in skill, but because they couldn't explain themselves under pressure.

That pattern is why I started coaching. Not to teach people to perform, but to help them get out of their own way.

"Confidence isn't born. It's built through knowing your own story cold."

I work with a small number of clients at a time. It's private, focused, and direct. If you leave a session unsure of what to work on, that's on me.

How I approach the work

Three things that shape every session.

Authenticity first

There's no script you need to memorise. We find the strongest version of what you already have. Interviewers spot rehearsed personas quickly — and they don't like them.

Flexible frameworks

Rigid scripts break the moment a question lands wrong. What I give you are mental frameworks so you can think clearly in the room, not just repeat what we practised.

Repetition with feedback

The only way to get better at interviews is to do them. Every session includes structured mock practice with specific, blunt feedback. No vague encouragement.

"Working with Cooper completely changed how I talked about my career. I walked into a final-round interview at a top firm feeling like I had nothing left to prove. The narrative we built together was the difference."
